About Me

imageI've been in practice since 2000 with a master degree (MAcOM) from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology and biostatistics from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU, 2012) with a graduate certificate in Chinese Medicine from the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1999).

In addition to a private practice, I'm part-time faculty in the clinic and classroom (introductions to integrative medicine research, epidemiology, and public health) at former OCOM and currently at National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC Berkeley/Austin). As an academic partner with Kam Wah Chung national historic site in John Day (Oregon Parks and Recreation Department), I'm working with NUNM/OCOM students to support Oregon Chinese Diaspora Project (OCDP) and Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Archeology (SOULA) give life to the story of Chinese settlers who practice traditional medicine in late 1800's Oregon. My practice is located within the traditional lands of the Wapato and Salmon cultures, the Cowlitz, Multnomah, Clackamas peoples. https://www.grandronde.org/ https://native-land.ca/

Beyond my practice, I participate in trainings and preparations with State Emergency Registry of Volunteers (SERV), Medical Reserve Corps of Multnomah County. I volunteer with the Backyard Habitat Program encouraging the planting of upper Willamette Valley native plants to provide habitat, nesting and food for regional insects and birds. I'm always looking for an opportunity to join volunteer work-events with Johnson Creek Watershed Council and Oregon Natural Desert Association included urban beaver survey, building beaver dam analogs (BDA), and planting around older BDA in Central and Eastern Oregon.
